All of my inspiration comes from my daily life in the Pacific Northwest.
My castings are created with mixture of lightweight poly resin, sand & volcanic ash and colored in my handcrafted mold with natural mica pigments.
I build all of the molds for each casting from a 2 part rtv silicone rubber.
The reclaimed cotton stretched art canvases are finished and sealed with light reflecting pearl & metallic mica powder mixed in three layers of high-gloss marine grade epoxy resin. I use a blowtorch to develop the smooth, glass like finish as well as to create the lacy, underwater effect.
